Bringing down the Bauhaus

It wasn't until the lecture that I have first heard of the Bauhaus. The concept behind it was incredibly interesting and innovative for the time that it was created in. It was built in a time where society was more focused on war and industrialization, not art and style. I am very interested in the fact that the creators of this place believed in the idea of making objects simpler and clearer for the buyer. They would purposely simplify everyday tools to help the understanding of the user. For example during the lecture they brought up that they would often redesign things such as chairs or windows. To make them more efficient and just all around easier to use. This type of thinking was way ahead of its time, and the leaders of this foundation are very intelligent.
